The Student and Matura Counselling Office of the ÖH Linz is divided into two main areas. On the one hand, we want to provide advice and support to students who are about to decide what to do after their A-levels. To this end, we travel directly to the schools to discuss all the options after graduation with the students and answer their questions. On request, we also organise information events directly at the university and end these with a tour of the campus so that the pupils can also see the university premises.
On the other hand, we naturally also want to offer help to students. Especially at the beginning of your studies, if you have any questions and don't know who to turn to, you've come to the right place. In addition to individual counselling, we also offer first semester mentoring sessions for all students in their first semester to get to know fellow students and exchange experiences. You can find all information about the mentoring sessions here. In order to expand this offer, we work closely with the team at the Psychological Student Counselling Service Linz. They offer free, anonymous and comprehensive psychological counselling and support for all areas of your life and not just for study-related problems.
