First semester mentoring

Website under construction

As part of the Student Advisory Service's remit, the concept of first-semester mentoring was launched to make it as easy as possible for new students to settle into student life. Various groups are led by different people, all of whom are still students themselves. If you are interested, simply read through the profiles and register using the link at the bottom of the page.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Hello, first-semester students!

We are delighted that you are interested in first-semester mentoring!

Starting a new degree program is always a big challenge! To give you a little help, a group of upperclassmen from all fields of study has come together again this semester to give you the opportunity to get to know other students outside of the lecture hall and seminars. At game nights, scavenger hunts across campus, or even a visit to the punch stand together, you can meet new people to make your start in college a little easier.

To give you an initial impression of the groups, they have all written a short profile to introduce themselves to you.

Since many fields of study have now switched to English as the language of instruction, there are also English-speaking groups. These are marked separately. German-speaking people are also welcome to join the English-speaking groups, but please only speak English in the group itself.

You will find the link to the registration form at the bottom of the page.

As you can see, there are a variety of groups you can register for. You are not limited to your field of study; anyone can participate in any group regardless of their field of study.

Once you have decided on one or more groups, you can register for them at this link.

The first semester mentoring team wishes you a great start to your first semester!
