What is an IFG request?

As your representative body, we at ÖH JKU consider it our duty to provide you with transparent insights into our work.

We therefore publish a wide range of information on our website: Be it detailed financial records, recordings of all our meetings or our internal guidelines - check them out! If you still can't find what you are looking for, please get in touch: We are happy to answer any questions you might have without the very formal and burdensome process of a legal IFG request.

Nvertheless, if you feel like we have not fully answered your question, the Freedom of Information Act (IFG), which came into effect on 01.09.2025, provides you with a legal tool to request certain kinds of information.

Processing IFG requests is a pretty tedious affair and causes considerable workload on our side: We therefore ask that you direct your requests via email to vorsitz@oeh.jku.at directly to gurantee a quick and efficient process. In order to answer your request, we require a precise description of the piece of information you are seeking. We also ask for your student ID to verify your eligibilty to make a request. Finally, please also state what you need this information for: This can help us in identifying the documents most relevant to your request.

Please understand that in accordance with § 6 Abs. 1 and § 9 Abs. 1-2 IFG, we might not be able to fully answer your requests, especially if the protection of our members' data is involved. Please also consider that we can only provide information on matters that fall into our direct jurisdiction: Information requests on student numbers etc. are therefore best directed to JKU.

Published IFG Requests

Whenever we receive an IFG request, we will usually publish our response here. Before submitting your request, please make sure that it has not already been answered below!
IFG requests are usually handled by the Head of ÖH JKU, in cooperation with the relevant body affected by the request, if applicable.

As of now, we have not received any IFG requests.
