Hello dear first semester students!
We are delighted that you are interested in first semester mentoring for TNF programs!
Starting a new degree course is always a big challenge! To give you a helping hand, a group of higher semester students from all fields of study has once again come together this semester to give you the opportunity to get to know other students outside of the lecture hall and practice sessions. You can get to know new people at games evenings, scavenger hunts around campus or even a visit to a punch stall together to make your start at university a little easier.
So that you can get a first impression of the groups, everyone has written a short profile to introduce themselves to you.
As many degree courses have now changed the language to English, there are also English-speaking groups. German speakers are also welcome to join the English-speaking groups, but please only speak English in the group itself. As the homepage is set to english, only english speaking groups are presented below. For the german speaking groups please change the homepage language.

Hey there, first-semester students!
Ready to play your cards right at JKU? University is not a game of chance, so you'll want a strong hand from the beginning. Like us, "The Jokerz" - 5 AI students and 1 Computer Science student from higher semesters.
We're not only here to help you start into your fresh new life smoothly, but to make sure it isn’t all work and no play. If the first semester is a card game, we’re the Joker: the wild card that keeps things fun and unpredictable!
We meet (almost) every Tuesday to share tips, stories, and laughs. We also happen to be one of the only two english speaking ETs, so there's that. For more infos on our planned activities check out our slide!

Welcome to the Wayfarer’s Guild!
Stranded in a strange world, the Wayfarers must band together and find their way back home. In this fantasy-themed ET group, join us on an adventure spanning 4-5 meetings where we’ll find out just who trapped us in this strange realm – and how to get back out.
Optional roleplay is encouraged, but beginners and non-roleplayers are equally welcome—everyone can participate at their own comfort level. The meetings will be done in English. We are LGBTQ+ friendly.
After each meeting, join us at the tavern to relax, chat, play boardgames and eat snacks.

As you can see, there are a variety of groups that you can register for. You are not bound to your field of study, anyone can join any group regardless of their degree course.
As soon as you have decided on one or more groups, you can register for the groups under this link.
