Job Title: IT Support Technician (HP Enterprise Servers)/Werkstudent

Job Summary:

Are you passionate about computer hardware and eager to kick-start or advance your IT career? As an IT Support Technician at KompiTech you will be the crucial "hands and feet" on-site, providing essential hardware support for enterprise servers at client locations. Working under the guidance of our experienced IT Support Engineers, you'll perform diagnostics, component replacements, and basic troubleshooting, playing a vital role in our service delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Travel to client sites within your assigned region to provide on-site technical support.

Perform on-site hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and component replacements on enterprise server, storage and network systems as directed.

Execute planned hardware installations, upgrades, and routine maintenance checks according to established procedures and checklists.

Follow detailed technical instructions and guidance provided by L2 IT Support Engineers accurately and efficiently.

Maintain precise and timely records of all work performed, parts used, and issue resolution in our ticketing system.

Provide excellent, professional customer service during all on-site client interactions.

Collaborate effectively with IT Support Engineers

Manage and safeguard any provided tools, parts, and equipment.

Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and client-specific protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Demonstrable hands-on experience fixing, assembling, or upgrading PC and/or server hardware (can be professional, academic, or as a dedicated hobbyist).

Basic understanding of computer and server hardware components, modules, and architecture (e.g., motherboards, CPUs, RAM, HDDs/SSDs, PSUs).

A strong eagerness to learn new technologies and follow technical instructions meticulously.

Good problem-solving aptitude and a methodical approach to tasks.

Professional demeanor, reliability, and excellent customer-facing communication skills.

Valid driving license (B) would be ideal but not necessary and willingness to travel extensively within your assigned region.

Ability to hold basic conversation in German

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

English proficiency

Familiarity with basic networking concepts.

Experience with ticketing systems.
