Joint LIT Research Project “AI SEARCH AUDIT” of the Institute of Innovation Management & Institute of Business Informatics - Software Engineering
The AI-SEARCH AUDIT project pioneers the development of a system to evaluate AI-powered search tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Scite, SciSpace, Elicit, or Bing) used in evidence synthesis, such as systematic reviews and meta-analyses. By identifying the strengths and limitations of these tools—focusing on bias, reliability, and result integrity—the project plays a key role in advancing the field. Its core outcome, a platform for ongoing testing and comparison of emerging AI search systems, aims to support thousands of researchers worldwide by enhancing the speed, reliability, and trustworthiness of evidence synthesis projects.
