Help for the EC2U Forum at JKU

English, Knowing JKU and Linz, Motivation to help others

Help us durign the EC2U forum!

We’re looking for motivated students to assist during the EC²U Forum from October 14th to 25th!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assisting international guests and ensuring they feel welcome

• Managing registration desks, info points, and goodie bags

• Helping with campus tours and event setups (like the Gala Dinner!)

• Offering guidance on local transportation, services, and JKU’s campus (buildings, Mensa, etc.)

• Providing a friendly face and helping answer general questions about Linz

What We’re Looking For:

• Friendly and outgoing students who love to interact with people

• Familiarity with JKU’s campus (buildings, services, etc.)

• Knowledge about Linz, including public transportation, pharmacies, and other local services

• Experience or empathy with what it’s like to be a foreigner in Austria—language skills are a plus!

• Willingness to be part of a diverse, international environment

Briefing Meeting: We will have a paid briefing meeting on Thursday, October 4th at 10 am to 12 pm. This is essential to ensure everyone is on the same page before we begin.

• Monday, October 14th: 14:00 - 17:00

Goodie bag packing

• Tuesday, October 15th: 9:00 - 12:00

Goodie bag packing

• Friday, October 18th: 10:00 - 12:00

Arranging rooms and setting up photo competition pictures

• Monday, October 21st:

o 7:00 - 11:00: Set up, registration, info desk, etc.

 9:00 - 11:00: Campus tour

o 11:00 - 16:00: Registration, info desk, etc.

 14:00 - 16:00: Campus tour

o 16:00 - 18:30: Info desk

 16:00 - 18:00: Campus tour

• Tuesday, October 22nd:

o 7:00 - 11:00: Set up, registration, etc.

 9:00 - 10:30: Campus tour

o 11:00 - 16:00: Registration, info desk, etc.

o 16:00 - 18:30: Info desk

 17:00 - 18:30: Campus tour

• Wednesday, October 23rd:

o 7:00 - 12:00: Registration, info desk, etc.

o 12:00 - 16:00: Info desk, science contest set-up

 14:00 - 16:00: Campus tour

o 16:00 - 19:00: Science contest assistance

o 15:00 - 18:30: Gala dinner set-up at Brucknerhaus

o 18:30 - 20:00: Gala dinner registration at Brucknerhaus

o 20:00 - 24:00: Gala dinner assistance at Brucknerhaus

• Thursday, October 24th:

o 7:00 - 12:00: Set up, info desk, etc.

o 12:00 - 16:00: Info desk, and organise rooms as they were

• Friday, October 25th: 10:00 - 12:00
